Library

Today was our last day to check out books at the library.  Thank you for a good year of getting books back on time!  This really has been the smoothest year... maybe ever!

If you are still looking for a book at home, you have another week or two to find it.  Next week I will start sending notes home about missing books as needed.

Reminders

*  The only snack in the cupboard right now are the ones I purchased so the kids would have snack this week.  We still have two weeks after that.  I know many of you have already sent in your fare share if not more.  But anyone who could help us out, it would be greatly appreciated!

*  Shoes:  Please send your child to school in shoes that will work for the playground and gym class.  Toes must be covered by the shoe to be worn for recess.   Although students are getting faster at changing their shoes, it still isn't fast enough.  It wastes learning time and keeps classmates waiting for a long time in line for shoe changers to join us.


*  Your child's replica of your house needs to be here by Thursday morning.


*  EXPO is Thursday night!  Can't wait to see you and have your children showcase some of their hard work from the year!

Lunch Switch Next Week

Hello. We are switching Thursday the  22nd and Friday the 23rd menus around. We will be serving the school grown lettuce with the hamburger menu on Friday.

Our Tour of Coborns

We were given the most fantastic tour at Coborns on Wednesday!!!  They showed us each department, talked about the schooling or training required to work in that department, fun tools and finds in each and rules that they need to follow in each type of product they put out.

They were also very generous...  meat sticks from the meat department, a treat from the deli, cupcakes from the bakery (which we used for snack today) popsicles from the frozen department, a cheese stick from dairy, and a hairnet and bag to hold all the goodies!

If you have a chance to tell them at Coborns that your child was on the tour and how well they did, that would be appreciated!  We will also be sending a thank you as a class.

Buffalo Community Day - Videos now Public (I think!)

Today the children had a chance to experience what it would be like to deliver some of the goods and services found in our community.  They played so appropriately for 45 mins! I finally just had to stop them!  Most children tried all the different activities. It was a joy to watch.

I have 4 videos.  The first shows the set up just as they were arriving.  The rest show snippets of their play.  I wish I could say I got some of the best moments, but they just kept amazing me!

Walk to Coborns' Tomorrow!
